ElleSolaire - Women’s Entrepreneurship Intiative aims to address the gender inequity and energy poverty which traps women and girls in a vicious cycle of exclusion. It seeks to enable women’s agency, entrepreneurship and capacity in off-grid communities of Senegal by expanding ElleSolaire’s women-centred model to two new rural regions (Kaolack and Thies). The priority activity of this project is the technical and transversal capacity-building of women with limited education (typically at most a primary school certificate) and providing them with concrete opportunities for professional integration thereafter in the renewable energy sector.
