Center for Women in STEM (formerly Oro Site High School's Girl Coders)

The Center for Women in STEM's "CodeHers: Empowering Girls in Tech" is a project that aims to provide programming skills to 50 young girls at Oro Site High School in the Philippines. This project will use reliable tools and resources to integrate concepts and skills in science, engineering, and mathematics. The goal is to create meaningful opportunities for the girls to develop projects such as games and programmed robots. Ultimately, the project aims to bridge the gender gap in STEM fields among underrepresented groups and encourage young girls to pursue STEM-related courses.
